  • How much does a wardrobe cost?
Prices vary; we charge from £500 to more than £10,000 for a wardrobe. Since our Carpentry service is Bespoke, it all depends on the customers choice of wood, depending on how large the closet is and other add ons such as LED lights, intelligent wardrobe technology etc...
  • Which woods do you use?
We use various woods, but our top sellers are Oak, Pippy Oak, Brown/Tiger Oak, Elm and Burr Elm, Cherry, Ash, Spalted Beech, Yew and Sycamore. We use many different types; this is up to you, the client, to decide. Our team of experts will advise you on which timber is best for your project. Other woods are negotiable, subject to availability and suitability.
  • What's the difference between stores such as Ikea and your services?
Large stores such as Ikea and Argos offer wardrobes and beds, but they are not made to last a lifetime. At Sradec we use the best quality timber, and you make it custom to your liking. You can browse any wood on the market and ask us to build your next bespoke project out of it. Our services at Sradec are Bespoke, unlikes other large retailers that mass produce. With us, we design and create a unique piece for you to last a lifetime.
  • Do you work with interior designers, architects and contractors?"
Yes, the majority of our work is with contractors and architects.
  • Do you Bespoke everything?
Yes we do, take a look at our services section. We Bespoke the majority of projects that require timber.
  • Should we expect hidden extra charges once work begins?
Absolutely Not, we will give you a quote before we start, and there are no hidden extra charges. However, additional costs will be applied if you choose to upgrade your design, such as choosing a more expensive type of timber or incorporating innovative technology.
  • Do you have sample designs I can choose from?
Yes. Aside from the pictures we have available on our website, we have a sample portfolio of our previous works at our premises. During consultation we will take your idea and provide you with samples of similar work we have already completed to narrow down the specifics. If you have seen a picture of fitted furniture that you feel is best suited to your needs then we will be happy to see it so that we can start work on it immediately.
  • Will I have to leave my house when doing renovations?
This will depend on the kind of work we are doing and if you can manage with limited or no access to certain parts of your home. When installing furniture in the kitchen, we may need to disconnect the power and water. If you can manage without these then you may not need to vacate. If works are extensive or, for example you have an allergy to dust, then it would be better to keep away until work is completed. Don’t worry about mess; we cover up other furniture and vacuum any debris generated by the work. Your room will be clean once we are done.
  • Can I make changes to my order or cancel it?
Because the work we do is tailored to fit customer specifications, we do not accept cancellations once work has begun. Changes are also not allowed as this interferes with the billing. If it is additional work that you want done, then we will supply you with a new quote for the extra work, separate from the on-going project.
